Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

A partnership by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Ocean Wise, The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national conservation program that provides Canadians the opportunity to take action in their communities wherever water meets land, one bit of trash at a time.

Martket has led workplace cleanups at Inlet Park, Rocky Point Park and Shoreline Park in Port Moody and Still Creek along Urban Trail connecting Vancouver and Burnaby. In addition to cleaning up our communities, Martket team members become citizen scientists and track the kinds of litter we find to be included in national data and impact results, all while being outside and protecting wildlife!

Greater Vancouver Food Bank

Martket regularly group volunteers at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank evaluating and sorting food donations for those who need access to quality, nutritious food.

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank provides assistance to approximately 8,500 people weekly through 13 locations across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. 25% of recipients are children and youth, 22% are seniors. The GVFB also provides food support to approximately 80 community agencies throughout these communities, who in turn provide meals and snacks to thousands of people each week.
